Lott3Metz partners
with the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum and the Inner
City Christian Federation to create a new kind of urban housing.
In the spring of 2003 Lott3Metz Architecture,
LLC was selected by a fledgeling partnership between The West Michigan
Sustainable Business Forum (WMSBF) and the Inner City Christian
Federation to steward their new My Health Green Home project. The
project dovetails the sustainable business practices of the WMSBF
and the social mission of the ICCF to design and build affordable,
sustainable housing in the Wealthy-Jefferson district of Grand Rapids,
Michigan. Lott3Metz has acted as a facilitator between groups guiding
the project to a written set of sustainable design standards and
a schematic design for sustainable, multi-family housing. Construction
is scheduled to begin in late 2004 with the structures completed
for spring 2005 occupancy. To learn more about My Healthy Green

The Donovan Building
completed and occupied.
Fully leased at opening, the historically
accurate rehabilitation of The Donovan Building is an unqualified
success.
The Donovan Building Located at 71 S. Division,
The Donovan Building was originally designed by Benjamin & Son Architects
of Detroit, Michigan for The Donovan Clothing Company also of Detroit.
In more recent years it housed Wepman's Formal Wear. Purchased from
the Wepman family in 1998 by Eric English, the subsequent development
and reconstruction of the project, completed in the spring of 2004,
shows a unique commitment by the developer to Grand Rapids' urban
fabric. Contrary to most prognostication, The Donovan Building was
fully leased - market rate leases - at the time of opening. The
project includes twelve one- and two- bedroom apartments and three
commercial/retail spaces. One of which is the new Lott3Metz office.
To learn more about the Donovan Building, please visit the Donovan
Building project page. To learn more
